Small Vintage Wedgwood ‘Australian Flowers’ Jardinière

A beautiful, rare Wedgwood blue jasperware jardiniere cache pot or planter. This classically styled jardiniere is decorated with three large Australian wildflowers in White Bas Relief. In celebration of Australia’s 1988 Bicentennial, Wedgwood issued a series of pieces in light blue solid Jasperware decorated with the wildflower emblems of each of the country’s states. This jardiniere features three examples: Waratah from New South Wales, Royal Bluebell from the Capital Territory and Sturt’s Desert Pea from South Australia. The Top Rim is decorated with a delicate Leaf and Berry Garland also in white bas relief.
