This antique Korean rice barrel (duji) is a traditional piece of Korean folk furniture, originally used for storing rice and grains. It is crafted using bentwood construction, with timber slats shaped into a classic tapered barrel form and bound together for strength. Finished in a deep burgundy oxblood paint with a naturally aged, worn patina, it shows authentic signs of use and history. Hand-forged iron ring handles and a fitted lid complete the piece, making it a strong decorative object suited to wabi-sabi, rustic, and eclectic interiors.
