This 1930s Australian-made Salonola gramophone by Heiron & Smith Ltd. showcases the craftsmanship of early 20th-century acoustic amplification. Salonola was among Australia’s first spring-driven, disc-playing gramophones, marketed as “The Instrument with the Human Voice”. Standing 107cm high (145cm when open), it serves as both a functional music player and a decorative piece.
